The Chemistry/Physics 3rd floor project will include the interior renovation of the existing 3rd floor of an active research and teaching building along with 6 new building additions, miscellaneous interior renovations to spaces adjacent to the new additions, full removal of the existing skin and replacement, and a new roofing system. The 3rd-floor space will be transformed into a state of the art research floor along with supporting spaces such as office, lounges, and conference rooms to allow for more open coordination. The building additions include 2 new entrance atriums, a service elevator, an egress stair tower, loading dock, and rooftop penthouse addition/ expansion. This work will drastically change the look of this building as well help create an optimal environment for research, building efficiency, exterior day lighting, and upgraded building infrastructure.
