“Hussung Mechanical was involved from the start, …provided not only the manpower to complete this project on time, but also design assistance to the engineers…”
Hussung Mechanical was involved, from the start, in the initial demolition of the original Louisville Galleria center. The entire storm, sanitary, and domestic water system was demolished and replaced with a new, much larger capacity system. All new utilities including a new natural gas main were brought into the facility. Existing large air handlers were re-built to handle the main facility and several new large capacity split systems were added to handle the new tenants. New natural gas mains, with individual metering to each of the many tenants, were provided. All public restroom areas were re-piped and new fixtures installed. The food court provided new restroom facilities and new air conditioning and heating for many restaurant tenants.
Hussung Mechanical provided not only the manpower to complete this project on time, but also design assistance to the engineers in determining the scope of the replacements required and also the remaining systems that could be salvaged. This project has been successful in the revitalization of Downtown Louisville, and further development of the area is planned by the Cordish Company.
